You know that feeling when you wake up in the morning and don't feel like playing anything?\n\nYeah, neither do I. \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

RPG games have been my favorite genre for many years. Over the years, I've played dozens of them, but only a few have truly left a lasting impression on me.\n\nSome offered unforgettable stories, others delivered incredible atmosphere or hundreds of hours of entertainment.\n\nThese are my Top 5 RPG Games of All Time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"Skyrim<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If I could only choose one RPG game to play for the rest of my life, Skyrim would be my pick.\n\nI've spent roughly 2,500 hours exploring its world, and even after all this time, the game still finds new ways to surprise me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its massive open world, incredible atmosphere, and beautiful soundtrack create a truly unique experience.\n\nOne of the things I love most about Skyrim is its Nordic setting, as I've always been fascinated by Norse mythology and snow-covered landscapes.\n\nAnother reason why Skyrim never gets old is its huge modding community, which continuously adds new content, graphical improvements, and even entirely new stories to the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's one of those rare games that I can come back to time and time again without ever getting tired of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"Oblivion<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Oblivion is one of the most atmospheric games I have ever played.\n\nWhile Skyrim introduced more modern graphics and a better combat system, I still believe that Oblivion offers superior quests and a more memorable atmosphere.\n\nEven today, few RPGs can match the sense of adventure and wonder that Oblivion creates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Journeying through the lush forests of Cyrodiil, stepping through the gates of Oblivion, and experiencing the legendary Dark Brotherhood questline are among my strongest gaming memories.\n\nLike Skyrim, Oblivion offers hundreds of hours of gameplay and a vast selection of high-quality mods that keep the experience fresh even years after its release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the game that convinced me once and for all that RPGs are something truly special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"Arcanum<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Arcanum is living proof that graphics aren't everything.\n\nDespite its age, it remains one of the best-written RPGs I've ever played, with a depth and freedom that many modern games still struggle to match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story hooked me from the very beginning, and there were countless moments when I kept playing simply because I had to find out what happened next.\n\nI was especially fascinated by the game's unique fusion of technology and magic, which helped create a world unlike most fantasy settings I had encountered before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arcanum may not be a game that every player knows today, but for fans of classic RPGs, it is a true gem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Fallout 4<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The post-apocalyptic world of Fallout captivated me from the very first moment.\n\nA wasteland scarred by nuclear war, abandoned cities, mysterious vaults, and countless stories hidden throughout the world combine to create an atmosphere unlike any other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What impressed me most about Fallout 4 was the incredible amount of freedom it offers.\n\nPlayers can complete quests, explore the wasteland, collect powerful gear, build and manage their own settlements, or experiment with countless mods.\n\nWith so much to do, Fallout 4 provides hundreds of hours of content and remains a game worth returning to time and time again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Gothic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When people talk about legendary RPGs, Gothic is one of the very first games that comes to mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the game was released many years ago, it can still impress players with its atmosphere, sense of progression, and freedom.\n\nThe penal colony felt alive, and as a player, you truly had the feeling of being part of a living world rather than simply exploring a game map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gothic laid the foundation for many RPGs that followed in its footsteps.\n\nEven today, it maintains a strong community and a wide range of mods that continue to expand and enhance the experience.\n\nThat is one of the reasons why I am so excited about the upcoming Gothic Remake, which aims to preserve the spirit of the original while bringing it into the modern era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every player has their own list of favorite RPGs.\n\nSome are drawn to epic stories, others to vast open worlds or deep gameplay mechanics.\n\nFor me, however, Skyrim, Oblivion, Arcanum, Fallout 4, and Gothic are the games that left the biggest mark on me and continue to draw me back, even after all these years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
