At Nintendo Direct 2026, Square Enix unveiled a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV, offering the best look yet at the next chapter of this iconic series. Once again, players will take control of Sora, who this time finds himself in the world of Quadratum.
Players can look forward to action-packed combat, parkour mechanics, wall-running, and the return of the beloved Keyblade. Square Enix also hinted at major improvements to the combat system and a more modern approach to environmental design. The game is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and has been confirmed for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. An official release date has not yet been announced.
